Happy Easter

Yesterday was Easter. I asked for 1st call/cancel for the whole day. I didn't get a call in the morning so went to work. They had made a mistake and said I could go home on call. I went home and enjoyed the beautiful sunrise, spring flowers and new baby lambs playing. I enjoyed the day relaxing. I wanted to go to church but it was hard when you're on call. I was put on call for the rest of the shift. I finished putting on the border on my Hokey Pokey quilt. I had all the windows open because it was a sunny and warm day(70 degrees) It was the first nice warm day in months. Our neighbors Charlie and Marilyn live up the hill from our house. I saw her working outside and going up the hill on the side of the house. She was up there for a while and I decided to get on the computer. I saw an ambulance drive by and immediately got up to see where it was going to and it pulled into Charlie and Marilyn's driveway. I went outside to tell Wayne and then the fire dept/ sheriff were there too. Long story short our neighbor Charlie had passed away on the hill. He had a history of heart disease(triple bypass surgery about 11yrs ago). He was 72 years old and a great and sweet guy. He will be missed and it will be hard on his wife, Marilyn. It sure makes you appreciate your family and friends and that life is to short. You need to live everyday to fullness and enjoy this beautiful world that God made for us to enjoy.
