Sew/Quilt Day
Yesterday Paige, Karen and I had our monthly Sew/Quilt Day. It was a cloudy and rainy day which was perfect for sewing on our projects. Paige worked on a McKenna Ryan fish wallhanging for her grandson. Karen worked on her sampler and I got the quilting and binding on my Spring Blossom quilt. We had a great lunch made by Paige of enchildas and old fashion choc cake by Franks. It was a fun day.

Priscilla's Quilt Studio's
My sister-in-law introduced me to Cloth-Paper Scissors Studios magazine which shows ideas for your art and craft space. It tells what the person likes to do( painting, quilting etc) and why their space works for them. The space can be large or small. Mary has a nice large studio(500 sq ft) and I have 2 small studios. She said she plan to send a query of her studio to the magazine. I have several copies of the magazine and several people had small studios like me. I decided to make a goal to submit pictures and query about my 2 studios. I have worked on getting both studios decorated and organized for the past 2 months. I has been alot of fun. I got everything together and mailed my pictures/query about my studios today. I plan to post some pictures of them soon. Thanks Mary for showing me this magazine. Hope they like my pictures/query. I have shown the magazine to a friend and she got alot of ideas for her space.

Happy Quilting
My sister-in-law started her quilting blog today. She wrote a Email that she liked my blog site and that she will like blogging because you can write and post pictures free. She likes you can make comments too.
I went to Boesma's which is a fantastic quilt store in McMinnville, OR. I'm going to make 2 table runners with North by Northwest by Thimbleberries. I got 4 different fabrics for the runner.

Happy Valentine's Day
Our Super/Sew/Quilt Day on Sunday was fun. Paige and I enjoyed the day with food, football, commericals and quilt projects. We missed having Karen with us. She was under the weather.
I finished put on the binding on my Liberty House quilt today. I made a coffee table topper this week and I'm working on the binding.
Back to work tomorrow and will celebrate Valentine's Day on Sunday if I get off early if not on Monday.

Happy Quilting
I finished the Quilt that I started in the class I took in Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show in 2004 this week. It is called Liberty House. I started the whole project over and it looks fine. I will finish the binding at our Super Bowl/Sew Quilt Day at my house. We(Paige and Karen) decided to have our Super Bowl separate from the guys.
I got my new quilt racks up in my quilting studio yesterday. Next week, we are going to take pictures of my 2 quilting studio areas. It looks great!!
We will watch the Super Bowl and the commericals. I like the Colts due to Peyton Manning but would love to see Saints win their 1st Super Bowl.
Paige and Karen are coming over here between 1-2.

Quilt/Sew Day
Friday, we had our 1st Quilt/Sew Day of 2010. I have 2 neighbors( Karen and Paige) that come over to my house for the day to sew/quilt their projects. We started this one day of the month last year and it has been alot of fun. I had tomato soup, grilled cheese sandwich and choc chip cookies for our lunch. Next month Paige will bring lunch. I worked on my ONLY UFO I didn't start and finish. I took a class at Sisters OR in 2004 and the class was to overwhelming for a new quilter. I decided to finish it. I'm going to take a class in July at Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show and may show this quilt in a show and tell. I'm a more confident quilter now. Karen made a apron for her granddaughter and Paige worked on UFO's. We had a great day.

Julie&Julia
I watched the movie Julie&Julia last week. It is 2 true stories about Julie Powell writing a blog about cooking every recipe in Julia Childs book for a year and the life of Julia Childs. It was an amazing stories of 2 women that had a passion for cooking. I love to cook too.
I'm glad I start this blog about my passion for quilting. January is a boring depressing month. I started a new project this week. It was great to get back into my studio and sew. Everyone should have a passion for doing something in their life.
