Thanksgiving
I can't believe that next week is Thanksgiving Day. I have always liked Thanksgiving because of Macy's Day parade and of course the food. I love to cook so it is fun to make the tradition side dishes. Thanksgving is more than food and parades. It reminds me that I'm thankful for my health, my family and friends.
Last week, I meet Martha and her husband that live near us. We have been following each others quilt blog plus we are both RN. They came over to our house to check out my quilt machine/studio. The husbands had a great time talking about fishing, hunting, etc and both are retired teachers. We really enjoyed meeting them and will keep in touch.
My sister-in-law, Mary called me Thurs to let us know she won Best of Show for the Red Chair quilt and 1st place for her Red Banana at the River City Quilt Guild Show in Sacramento, CA. She couldn't believe that she won and wanted me to know which I was so Happy for her. I will try to post a picture of them.
I will work on my challenge quilt called " Come Sail Way" doing the quilting this week.
Happy Quilting and Happy Thanksgiving week/Day.

Thanks, Priscilla! Randy and I went to the show today to see the quilts hanging and to take photos of them with their ribbons. I've posted the photos on my blog. I am still in shock! I guess red was a very good color for me this year!
