Happy Happy Day
It is Happy Day and what makes me HAPPY is QUILTING!! I was asked by the college friend, Jan to make a quilt(wall hanging) with frogs in it which she collects anything. I found a cute fabric by Timeless Treasures with frogs on it. She lives in Texas so mailed it to her today.I used Anne Bright design Cotton Candy and Superior thread King Tut Autumn Days. Here are pictures of the 2 quilts:
Happy Day
Today is Happy Day and what makes me HAPPY is QUILTING!!! Last Saturday, it was International Quilting Day which I celebrated with my friend, Paige by going to EE Schencks Trends in Portland. It is the wholesale business which sells quilting fabric, books, patterns, notions, batting etc. We had a great day of shopping.
I finished a quilt that I started at the Winter retreat in January. The pattern is called Savanna by Karla Alexander. I used Anne Bright design called Flamingo Sunset with Superior thread King Tut Cleopatra. I'm going to enter this quilt at the Home Machine Quilting Show in Salt Lake this May. I'm attending this Quilt Show for the first time. Here are a few pictures of the quilt.

Desert Sunset
I finished a quilt top in November 2013 from a pattern called Desert Sunset. It was in the magazine Quilting Quickly Missouri Star Quilt Co. I finished the quilting on it in February. I used Anne Bright design Luna with my favorite thread Superior King Tut Cleopatra. I love this color thread and have used it in several quilts. I took some pictures of it today on the front deck.

Jordan Fabrics Patchwork Table Runner
I purchased a precut table runner kit at the Oregon Summer Expo in Redmond, OR in July. This is a company called Jordan Fabrics in Grants Pass, OR. I brought a kit from them when I went to the International Quilt Festival in Houston 2011. I finished the runner but haven't put the binding on it yet. I wanted to get several pictures of it outside on our deck. Here are pictures of the runner.
Happy Happy Quilting
I worked on a quilt top called Jellystone by Legacy Patterns when I visited with my brother and sister-in-law in CA this past November. I finished the quilting on it at the beginning of February. I used Anne Bright Design called Noodle Soup with Superior Thread King Tut Autumn Days. I was able to take pictures of it on our deck between snow/rain storms.

Paige's Cowboy Quilt
Snowy Day in February
It is a very cold, windy and snowy day in Oregon. We are suppose to get 5-9" of snow today and more snow and ice on Saturday. Normally, the valley floor doesn't get snow that much but with this cold came a lot of moisture. It feels and looks like Christmas so I finished my table runner that I started in December. It is from Legacy Patterns called Very Braidy Christmas. I used several Christmas prints to use up some of my fabric stash. Of course, I brought more Christmas fabric after the holidays that were on sale. Here are pictures of the runner that I will have for next Christmas.
