Happy Happy Quilting

I worked on a quilt top called Jellystone by Legacy Patterns when I visited with my brother and sister-in-law in CA this past November. I finished the quilting on it at the beginning of February. I used Anne Bright Design called Noodle Soup with Superior Thread King Tut Autumn Days. I was able to take pictures of it on our deck between snow/rain storms.

Paige's Cowboy Quilt

I finished a quilt for Paige that was a solid fabric with cowboys on it in a red, orange and black colors. I used Anne Bright Design called Cotton Candy with Superior King Tut thread called St George. Here are some pictures of the quilt.

Snowy Day in February

It is a very cold, windy and snowy day in Oregon. We are suppose to get 5-9" of snow today and more snow and ice on Saturday. Normally, the valley floor doesn't get snow that much but with this cold came a lot of moisture. It feels and looks like Christmas so I finished my table runner that I started in December. It is from Legacy Patterns called Very Braidy Christmas. I used several Christmas prints to use up some of my fabric stash. Of course, I brought more Christmas fabric after the holidays that were on sale. Here are pictures of the runner that I will have for next Christmas.

Greenbaum's Winter Quilt Retreat 2014

It is wonderful to be able to write a post and then post pictures with it. I was unable to post pictures for the last 2 weeks and finally with the help from my husband I'm back to blogging. Last weekend, Paige and I went to the Winter Quilt Retreat in Newport for 3 days. This is our 3rd retreat with 76 quilters that Greenbaum's does every year. It is held at the Shilo Inn which is right on the beach. We have an ocean view which was great. There were beautiful sunsets and a full moon over the ocean. It is great place for a retreat. It is 3 days(Friday-Sunday) of fun working on your own projects. We came on Thurs to enjoy the coast and to get set-up. The weather was perfect with sunny skies and warm temps. It had been cloudy, foggy and cold over in the valley all week so this was heaven to us. I worked on a quilt pattern by Karla Alexander called Savanna which uses her rulers by Creative Rulers. I finished the quilt this week. Paige worked on a quilt pattern by Karla Alexander called Junk Jewelry. Here are pictures of the retreat.
